X13 Yoga Microphone Not Detected

X13 Yoga No Input Audio Device Detected (No Mic!)

Use this tutorial if your Lenovo Yoga x13 is fully up-to-date (both Windows Updates and Lenovo System Updates) and is not detecting the internal audio input device (microphone).
This tutorial requires that you have administrative rights on your computer!
  1. Use a browser to visit: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29062/Realtek-High-Definition-Audio-Driver-for-Windows-10-64-bit-for-NUC8CCH-NUC6CAY?product=129704
  2.  At the lower left side of the page under "available downloads" click on the download button to begin downloading the   Realtek High Definition Audio Driver.
  3.  In the downloaded zip folder open the application file called "setup" and run through the install instructions
    1.  These Steps will actually UNINSTALL the existing audio drivers

  4. Restart the computer but upon starting back up cancel out of the remaining install window - do not finish the setup after restart!
Your audio should be fully functional but if not, run through the Lenovo System Updates and run any available audio updates.
