HOW DO I SET UP MY NEW VOICEMAIL BOX?
Here is how to enroll as a new mailbox owner:  (Note: To answer a system question, press 1 for “Yes,” and 
2 for “No.”)  To access Voicemail from your desk phone, dial *8 from your keypad.  The system will prompt you:  “As a new mailbox owner, please take a moment to personalize your mailbox.”   Just follow the prompts for each setting.  Note:  You may access and change these settings at any time through set-up options; however, if you would like to start the enrollment process again, press (2) and repeat the setup instructions.   

HOW DO I ACCESS MY VOICEMAIL FROM MY DESK OR OTHER LOCATION?
To access your voicemail from your desk phone, dial *8 (new) and wait for the system prompts.
To access your voicemail from another phone, dial 1929, wait for the main greeting then press 9, then enter your extension, and follow the prompts.  Example: I want to access my VM from another office, I’ll dial 1929 wait to hear the main greeting, then press 9 271 and wait to be prompted for my security code.
To access your voicemail from a phone outside Hawken, dial 440-423-2929, wait for the main greeting then press 9, then enter your extension and follow the system prompts.  

ARE THERE MESSAGE PLAYBACK OPTIONS?
Yes, there are several shortcut options to maximize your voicemail features:  
Press 2 while listening to a message to redirect it.  Press 1 to confirm that you want to redirect the message to another ext., and follow the system instructions.
Press 4 to play the message slower
Press 5 to make the message softer/louder
Press 6 to play the message faster
Press 7 to back up  
Press 8 to pause and 8 again to start
Press 9 to fast forward
Press * to exit the system.
Pressing * while listening to a message will save it as a new message.

WHAT HAPPENS TO PLAYED MESSAGES?  
After you listen to a message entirely, it will automatically be saved in your archive mailbox. This can lead to many unnecessary saved messages, taking up valuable voicemail system computer space.  To avoid unwanted saved messages, press 222 after listening. 

HOW DO I LISTEN TO A SAVED MESSAGE OR DELETE IT?
Saved/archived messages may be played and/or deleted by accessing your voicemail (*8 + security code), press 6 to hear old messages.  After listening to each message, you may delete by pressing 222.  You do not have to listen to the entire message to delete it from your archive box.  

HOW DO I FORWARD MY CALLS TO ANOTHER EXTENSION?
To forward a call to another person/ext, press 841 1 then the number you are forwarding to, then Speaker.  All calls will be transferred to that number.  To cancel call forwarding from your phone, press 841 0, then Speaker.  Example:  To forward ext 271 to 274, press 841 1 274 Speaker.  To cancel forwarding, press 841 0 Speaker.

HOW DO I FORWARD A CALL TO A VOICEMAIL BOX WITHOUT RINGING THAT EXTENSION?
Press transfer button, then the extension then 8.  Hang up immediately to avoid ring.  Example:  To transfer a call directly to VM at 271, press Transfer 271 8 and hang up.  

HOW DO I LEAVE GROUP MESSAGES?
You can leave a message for more than one person by leaving a group message.  To create a group, follow the system instructions in your personal setup options.  To leave a message for an existing group, which will be sent to all members of the group, you must know the group name and number.  Follow the system prompts as you leave your message.
