Resolving Trusted Platform Module Error

Resolving Trusted Platform Module Error

Updated fix for GM campus (12/9/22):

Force local AD to Azure synch
  1. RDP to DirSync2016 with tech creds
  2. Run "Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta" in Powershell as admin
  3. Wait about 45 seconds

1. Open Word, OneNote, or any office program and sign out.

2. You’ll then be prompted with the screen below. Click the blue “sign out” box.

3. Once Signed out, left click the start menu icon. You can also bring up this menu by pressing the Windows Key.

4. Once the menu is open, type: "account"

5. Select "Manage your account"
6. Next, on the left-hand side, click "access work or school"

7. Select your work or school account and click "disconnect." Do NOT disconnect the account with the briefcase icon.

8. Open Word, OneNote, or any office program to sign in. Usually it's easiest to sign in using the same program you used in step 1.
9. Enter your email address and password
10. Finally, you'll now be prompted with the screen below. Select, "OK"

You should no longer receive the Trusted Platform Module error. If the issue persists or you have questions about any of the steps listed above, please put in a support ticket at help.hawken.edu and we will be happy to assist.
